Thank you for your interest in women’s circles at Wholehearted Herd! We will be holding them the third Thursday of the month from 6-7PM. There will be sharing, sisterhood, and herbal tea. If you are already sold, register here! But if you’re wondering what is exactly a women’s group? Read on! I first learned of women’s circles from Sistership Circle when founder Tanya Lynn presented at a virtual retreat I attended. She spoke so passionately about how women getting together in community could change the world. I wasn’t quite sold at that point… From my past experiences, gatherings of women was more like the Mean Girls movie. 😬 😅 It wasn’t until this past spring when I attended the Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference that I learned what gatherings of women could actually be. I was not sure what to expect when I signed up for an all women’s conference by myself. What I experienced was sistership with women of all ages and ethnicities. I experienced belonging and a safe space with every face I met. It challenged my idea that gatherings of women led to tension, gossip, and hurt feelings. Women gathered at the conference in harmony and friendship. Yes, I was pushed out of my comfort zone quite a lot especially during some of the group activities like singing and sharing…but that is where growth happens! When I came back from the conference, I made this video below for Instagram. Since reflecting on my desire to lead circles for next year this video really applies! You do have to “find your people” and I’m hoping to offer that here with women circles! I later did some more learning on leading women circles. The basic gist of it is, women gather together and have an opportunity to share on a meaningful topic. Each woman gets a designated time to share and women in the circle receive and honor without offering advice. Each woman is allowed to experience support and safety in the medicine of just sharing and being heard. I am also offering the support of herbal tea and monthly invitations in the form of activities or ceremonies that will enhance growth and learning. This will not include horse activities, however there may be the opportunity for an equine add-on seasonally. During the winter months we will be indoors an my office in Aniwa and as weather allows, we will add outdoor experiences. If you are at all interested, I extend this invitation to you! Women of all ages and backgrounds welcome! The fee is $11 and registration is required the week before each month you are able to attend. I hope to find you in the circle soon!
