The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, is an intervention designed to reduce stress and improve emotional control and behavioral organization through sending signals of safety through the auditory system. It consists of specially-filtered music to train the nervous system to feel safer in it's environment. This can be done in-person or remotely depending on the individual or child's tolerance and response. This intervention can be incorporated into existing sessions with the horses or as a stand-alone treatment. For information about this intervention or to schedule, contact us.
